Volunteers

Volunteers have been maintaining and upgrading the GSWW since it beginning in the early 1980s.

Would you like to join our wonderful volunteers, and help us continue this legacy? We do need your help and welcome new members.

There are many ways to assist.

  • Walk Maintenance and Upgrades – equipment upkeep, walk signage, boardwalks, barriers, lookouts, campsites, trimming and mowing, surface upgrades and construction of new infrastructure.

  • Recreational Walks – three each month, an annual long walk, an annual half-lap walk and walks for special calendar events.  

  • Promotion and Marketing – Grants, Donations and Sponsorship, Friends Memberships, Member ENews, Social Media, Print Media, Merchandise and assisting with special events.

  • Community Engagement & Training – Landcare, Walk Liaison, School & Community Education
