* GSWW Long Autumn Walk 2026
Each year we host a Group Long Walk in Autumn.
Bookings for the 2027 Long Walk will open June 1st 2026, offered first to members, before opening to the general public on July 1st.
* GSWW Half-Lap Spring Walk 2026
In Spring we are offering a Half-Lap Spring Walk leaving from Portland and walking clockwise to Nelson along the cliffs and capes of Cape Grant, Cape Nelson and Cape Bridgewater, through Mt. Richmond National Park and along the beach of Discovery Bay.
With only 12 spaces they will fill quickly, again offered to members first.
The 7 day / 6 night walk will be held Sunday 22nd Nov – Saturday 28th Nov 2026.

*The FRIENDS OF THE GREAT SOUTH WEST WALK is excited to be hosting the 2026 FEDERATION WALKS on OCT 11-12 2026
The FED WALKS is a Bushwalking Victoria initiative that is open to all Bushwalking Victoria affiliated club members. Walkers from all over the state will converge on Portland to take part in a wonderful weekend of walking. On offer will be walks ranging from 5-20km, through our unique and varied landscape.
The GSWW is often referred to as a Symphony in Four Movements, hinting at our four very distinct environments – forest, river, beach and cliffs & capes. Saturday night will be an evening of dinner, speakers, raffles and LIVE MUSIC.
