* Supported Walk 2025
Each year we host a GSWW Supported Walk. Registrations are offered first to members during June, then opened to the public in July. This walk is the complete 262km taking 14 days, with walkers carrying day packs and food and gear transported daily to the next campsite.
Guest speakers, visitors and special surprises along the way make this a very memorable group walk. Next year’s walk, to be held 16th – 29th March 2025, is booked out. Enquiries in June 2025 (for the 2026 walk) to Sarah 0417 051020.
* 3 Day / 2 Night Pack Walk 2025
Following last year’s O/N Pack Walk lead by Danita we are again offering this experience in 2025. If you’ve always wanted to be self-sufficient, camp overnight and walk during the day and would like to walk with a small group of like-minded people, this 3 day / 2 night full pack walk might be for you. Guidance will be offered as to what to bring, how to pack and carry, hints for comfort etc. Registrations are being offered first to members during January/February 2025, then opened to the public in March, with the walk being held 3-5 April 2025. This walk will be along the Glenelg River and capped at 10 participants. Watch this space for updates and bookings.
Recreational Day Walks 2025
The Recreational Walks team has an exciting walks program planned for 2025. Due to high interest in walks we will be hosting walks on Mondays (16-22km), Thursdays (10-16km) and Saturdays (5-10km). The program will soon be posted on the ‘Walks’ page so dates can be entered in personal diaries. All interested walkers are invited to join us – the groups are friendly, walk together and support walkers of all standards. We hope to see you out on the GSWW sometime soon.
